Bond University Camp 3-Day Tour
Fraser Island is the world’s largest sand island! A World Heritage protected area with tropical rainforests, endless beaches, fresh water lakes, wild and dangerous creatures. Look out! Theres a dingo mate! Swim, hike, whale watch, see shipwrecks and party at night. Its awesome! Camp Fraser is a MUST DO! One of the best trips you will do whilst in Oz. Our fully guided trips pick up from and return to the Gold Coast. All tours include freshly prepared meals, camping equipment and supplies. Minimum numbers apply and availability is on a ‘‘first in basis’’ as spaces are limited. This trip is great for students and allows minimal time away from classes and maximum fun.
Day 1:
We head out of the Gold Coast driving north through Noosa onto Rainbow Beach. Then it’s a quick ferry ride across to Fraser Island. Visit magnificent emerald green Lake Wabby surrounded by a massive sandblow and eucalypt forest. Set up camp site at Dilli beach for dinner and drinks around the camp fire. Keep an eye out for those dingos.
Day 2:
Early breakfast and a drive along 70 mile beach highway. Float down the fast flowing fresh waters of Eli Creek and marvel at the coloured sands formations. Check out the famous Maheno shipwreck before a swim in the champagne pools. Climb Indian Head to see magnificent views and spot sharks, mantras, turtles and whales. Back to camp for dinner, beach walks and star gazing.
Day 3:
Swim in the crystal clear waters of Lake McKenzie after brekky. Sunbake and relax on the lakes perfect white sands. Take a hike through some pristine tropical rainforest at Central Station along the banks of Wanggoolba Creek to Pile Valley. After lunch (own cost), we start our journey south departing Fraser Island down to Cooloola National Park or via the Bruce Highway. We arrive back on the Gold Coast around 8pm.
What to Bring:
Swimmers, comfortable shoes, flashlight, hat, suncreen, towel, pillow, camera.
Meals:
Day 1 (Dinner), Day 2 (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner), Day 3 (Breakfast).

All transport, fully guided, all camp gear & fees. Fully Guided 4WD Island Tours each day.
This tour departs every Friday at 8am from Bond Universtry Bus Stop.
Price: $289 + $30 (National Park & permit fee)
Optional: Upgrade to Cabin Accommodation. Extra $60 (payable on day of departure)
